Jaime O’Bree and Emily Johnson promoted to Scenic Lodge’s Management team.
Scenic Lodge is very fortunate to have two young passionate horse women in Jaime O’Bree and Emily Johnson now part of our Scenic Lodge’s Management team. It’s a credit to the progression both young ladies have made since commencing employment with the Stud.
Jaime joined Scenic Lodge in early 2015. Her rapid progression through to the important roles of Assistant Stud Manager and Yearling Manager is a credit to Jaime’s amazing work ethic and all round talent as a horse woman. Jaime role is a massive one and covers all areas of assisting with the day to day running of a busy stud, managing and directing staff and supporting Stud Manager, Darrell Tampin. Jaime is very passionate about all the horses on the property and ensures they receive the very best of care. Jaime also has managed the Studs Yearling division for the past two years a role which she has excelled in. Scenic Lodge is very fortunate to have such a genuine talented hard working person like Jaime’s in these important roles.
Emily started with Scenic Lodge at the beginning of 2016 after two years working for Belvoir Equine hospital. This vet background combined with her natural horse ability and a massive passion for the thoroughbred industry has seen Emily develop into a very important member of Scenic’s Team. Emily now oversees broodmare care and treatments throughout the year and ensures all the relevant history is needed to help with safe foaling and importantly getting the mare back in foal. Emily also manages the new born foal care area on the property and always ensures newborns receive 100% care in the critical first few hours and days after birth. She is also responsible for the care of spelling racehorses. Emily’s progression since joining Scenic Lodge has been amazing and they are delighted to have someone so passionate and talented with a great work ethic now in these important management roles.
